APUSH Test Studying

Everyday we do 10 things we ‘ought to know for the AP test, and my group and I, day after day, constantly don’t know any of them. So, as the week goes on, I’m going to add on to a Quizlet here that will have the terms we missed and all of their definitions. Feel free to study!

Daily 10

Today we started APUSH review. Every day, we’ll do 10 review questions. However, I seriously suck at them because I can’t remember these terms for the life of me… so I’ll have to study a lot.

After that:

  • watched a speech
  • Got stamps for both inaugural address LOQs, and the “Evil Empire” levels of questions.
  • Read Bill Clinton’s speech on “Signing of NAFTA (1993)” which is on page 323 of our Voices of Freedoms Vol. 2 book. Then we answered the two questions for this.
  • Answered these essay questions:

Good luck! 🙂

Sooo much reading

Here’s the list for APUSH today:

  • Talked about what we read.
  • Did levels of questions on this.
  • Were assigned this project. It’s due on 4/20, and you can ignore all of the notes I put in blue under “steps”. That’s just how I’m going to do it– there’s no reason for you to do is the same.
  • We had to read and answer the questions for “The Fraud of the ERA” (It’s in Voices of Freedom: Volume II). We need to bring that book everyday this week.

Furthermore, here is the subheadings worksheet for chapter 27.

Mr. Curtain was in charge again

Sadly, Mr. Hawkins had to go do something family related, so we had Curtain again. Although it was yesterday’s homework, he did not stamp/check the Truman Doctrine” levels of questions. We were given six assignments:

  1. Analyzing WWII Conferences: This was a a document we had to read in class and then answer 6 questions about. Then we wrote a short paragraph stating how the Conferences of WWII influenced the Cold War.
  2. APPARTS  on the “Marshall Plan”
  3. Toward Understanding the Cold War
    1. Summarize groups/texts a-e.
    2. Complete part B of the assignment.
  4. The Long Telegram Levels of Questions
  5. Discussing Food Friday (bring something!!!!)
  6. APPARTS on “Wheeling West Virginia

The Dreaded Day Has Come!!!

It’s the end of the 6 week grading period, and Hawkins collected our notebooks today. Just a helpful suggestion: highlight the titles of each assignment. The easier you make your teacher’s job when grading your papers, the more likely they are to be merciful and forgiving regarding your mistakes. If you were grading 30 assignments per student for at least a hundred students, wouldn’t you (1) not look very closely at everything, especially is (2) everything is easy to find?

Another worksheet

Yet another thing we had to do. Here is the reading that needed to be done, and here are the questions that need to be answered. You only need to read the second article in that packet to do the questions, but the sub hinted that we’d need to know about the first one for something on Monday (although I highly doubt it because almost no one is going to remember the specifics after 4 days. We’d just B.S. it ).
